This year, the port and shipping projects in Jining City, Shandong Province, are planned to invest 940 million yuan, including 840 million yuan for port infrastructure construction projects, 29.09 million yuan for maintenance projects, and 70 million yuan for port logistics construction projects.

This year, the port and shipping infrastructure construction projects in Jining City are respectively the Zhushui River waterway, the northward extension of the third-level waterway from Jining to Dongping Lake, the reconstruction of the Weishan first-line ship lock, and the three red tourism docks in Jining, Weishan and Nanyang. The main maintenance projects include the widening and deepening of the old Wanfu River waterway, the construction of the remote control station of the Weishan Second Line ship Lock, and the continuation of the slope protection project of the Hanzhuang Lake Mouth waterway, etc. The logistics construction project is the construction of the Yuejin Helong Gonghe Port Area. In addition, Jining City will strive to complete the dismantling and transformation of all the slurry scraper vessels this year, while developing a number of large-tonnage, standardized vessels and containers and other high-value-added general cargo transport vessels, and optimizing the power structure of the vessels.

Up to now, the total navigable mileage of waterways in the city has reached 1,100 kilometers, with 11 ports and 81 operation areas. The designed annual handling capacity is over 42 million tons, and both the transport capacity and volume account for more than 80% of the province's inland waterway shipping. The number of various transport vessels in Jining has developed to 11,000, with a deadweight ton of 3.56 million.
