Recently, with the strong support of the municipal committee, the municipal government and relevant departments, the Shidao New Port International Express Supervision Center, which was approved for construction by Qingdao Customs, has been officially completed and passed the acceptance inspection after three months of construction.
The International Express Supervision Center is one of the key components of the East China Land-Sea Passenger and Cargo Logistics Center project. It has been equipped with the most advanced intelligent CT inspection equipment, fully automatic intelligent sorting equipment, cargo inspection X-ray machines, portal nuclear radiation detection equipment and related testing facilities. It is a customs supervision center that uses high technology, full informatization and intelligence as supervision means. This project not only serves as a link for Rongcheng Port to play a radiating and driving role and enhance the rapid logistics of sea transportation among China, Japan and South Korea, but also is an important platform for our city to build a new highland of opening up to the outside world, creating new impetus for foreign service trade. It will further enrich the logistics business forms of Rongcheng Port, attract foreign investment, and bring about a brand-new logistics model, a brand-new regulatory process, as well as the all-round development of international trade and new cross-border business forms. Provide pioneering and trial experience for the innovation pilot of foreign service trade in our city.
The East China Land-Sea Passenger and Cargo Logistics Center is an important open passenger and cargo logistics hub project built by our city to leverage the pioneering and experimental advantages of the China-South Korea Free Trade Zone and the development advantages of the port location. Up to now, the construction of the China-South Korea Land-sea combined transport channel, the renewal of the largest ro-RO passenger ship between China and South Korea, the fastest China-Japan-South Korea sea express line in China and the construction of the customs express supervision center project have been successfully completed.
