Route Introduction
In December 2004, the Shidao-Qingdao domestic feeder shipping route was launched. Operated by Qingdao Zhongchuang Shipping Company, it operates three times a week. This route, through Qingdao Port, establishes a multimodal transport network connecting the world, changing the passive situation where Rongcheng area could not directly import or export ocean-going cargo.
Route advantages
◎The sea distance between Shidao and Qingdao is 128 nautical miles, with a total journey time of 12 hours.
◎ The feeder company has signed CCA cooperation agreements with dozens of major shipping companies, including MSK, MSC, CMA, CSL, NYK, OOCL, EMC, COSCO, MOL, ZIM, CNC, ANL, HLC, and KMTC. For imported goods, bills of lading can be issued in Shidao, and for exported goods, bills of lading can be issued in Shidao after the feeder vessel departs.
◎ Shidao offers fast customs clearance and quick cargo collection. Businesses can directly handle customs clearance in Rongcheng and Shidao. The island handles all import and export procedures, eliminating the cumbersome formalities of customs declaration and inspection and quarantine certificate exchange in other locations. Import and export goods can be cleared and picked up on the same day as the ship's departure.
◎ Saves time and money. As an extension of Qingdao Port, Shidao New Port only needs to be entered into Shidao New Port 2 hours before departure. This significantly reduces logistics costs for enterprises and enhances their competitiveness.
◎ Domestic and foreign trade goods can be transported on the same vessel, allowing for flexible cargo handling.
◎ It can handle a wide variety of cargo types, including overweight, oversized, and special containers.
