The designated port for imported meat at Shidao New Port has successfully passed the inspection by the expert group of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China

On April 14th, a team of experts from the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China for the review and acceptance of designated ports for imported meat visited our company to review and accept the designated port for imported meat at Shidao New Port. Present at the team were Wang Hongbing, Deputy Director of Shandong Provincial Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Wang Xiaofeng, Deputy Secretary-General of Weihai Municipal Government, Jiang Shan, Secretary of the CPC Rongcheng Municipal Committee, Lyu Shaowei, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Committee, Wang Gang, Vice Mayor, and Yin Yuanhua, Chairman of our company. Vice Chairman and Vice General Manager Shao Xinqiang, along with leaders from relevant departments such as the inspection and quarantine and port office of our province and city, received the expert group from the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine for the review and acceptance of designated ports for imported meat.

The review and acceptance work of the designated port for imported meat this time first held a meeting on the review and acceptance of the designated port for imported meat. At the meeting, Vice Mayor Wang Gang of Rongcheng City and relevant leaders of the Municipal Inspection and Quarantine Bureau first introduced the relevant situation of the construction of the designated port for imported meat in our city. Since the start of the preparatory work for the designated port for imported meat in Shidao New Port, The CPC Rongcheng Municipal Committee, the Rongcheng Municipal Government and the Municipal Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, from the perspective of supporting the development of our city and promoting the overall situation of foreign trade, attach great importance to it and spare no effort to advance it. And there were repeated consultations and discussions on how to promote the construction of this project. Guiding opinions were put forward from multiple aspects such as improving the external environment, hardware facilities, personnel allocation, departmental coordination, and system construction. At the same time, active reports were made to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China to seek support. Subsequently, Shao Xinqiang, the vice chairman and deputy general manager of the company, reported to the expert group on the construction of the designated port for imported meat at Shidao New Port by playing a promotional video. In order to further expand the port's service functions and meet the processing and market demands for meat products in our city and surrounding areas, with the strong support and assistance of the Rongcheng Municipal Government and the Rongcheng Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Invest over 3 million yuan to build the infrastructure for the designated port for imported meat. In accordance with the "Requirements for the Construction of Basic Capacity of Designated Ports/Inspection Sites for Imported Meat" formulated by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China, all facilities have been fully completed and prepared. There is a closed and dedicated inspection and quarantine area of 6,038 square meters. This includes the inspection of the cold chain integrated platform, container X-ray inspection warehouse, inspection and quarantine rooms, as well as sampling rooms, emergency response rooms and other inspection supporting facilities. Two storage facilities are set up in conjunction with the cold chain inspection platform. Video surveillance is installed in different areas of the inspection and quarantine site, covering the main process of entering the site to ensure that the designated port for imported meat can be put into operation as soon as possible.

Subsequently, the expert group for the review and acceptance of the designated ports for imported meat by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China inspected the inspection and quarantine areas, cold chain inspection and supporting storage facilities of the designated ports for imported meat on site.

Finally, Meng Chuanjin, the head of the expert group for the review and acceptance of designated ports for imported meat under the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, provided feedback on the expert group's opinions at the summary meeting. Meng Chuanjin believes that the Shandong Provincial Inspection and Quarantine Bureau and the CPC Rongcheng Municipal Committee and the Rongcheng Municipal Government attach great importance to the construction of this project. The inspection and quarantine department has taken the initiative to provide assistance. All the guarantee measures for imported meat have been implemented. The on-site inspection facilities at the port are basically complete. The system construction is relatively comprehensive. The testing capacity meets the testing needs. The port conditions comply with the overall requirements. Constructive opinions and suggestions were put forward regarding the problems existing in the construction of the designated port for imported meat at Shidao New Port, such as the imperfect food safety linkage mechanism and the inadequate relevant labels. Ultimately, the expert group unanimously agreed to recommend that the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China approve Shidao New Port as a designated port for imported meat.
